It is one of the acne treatment products that uses benzoyl peroxide as its main active ingredient, a chemical commonly used by dermatologists around the world in both prescribed and over the counter products. On the plus side, benzoyl peroxide has been proven to work in many cases, on the minus side, it can have unwanted side effects.

Zeno is something completely different and quite innovative. Basically it is a hand-held electric device (battery operated) that uses targeted pinpoints of heat to zap your pimples away! The technique it uses to destroy the acne bacteria is that of “heat-shock”. Certainly an unusual approach that claims to be extremely effective.

Murad is a combination of different products, including cleansers, skin treatments, moisturizers and oral supplements. Like Proactive, Murad uses benzoyl peroxide. So the thing to watch out for is unwanted side effects.
